The Bundesliga is inspiring Germany's clubs and unleashing unimagined forces. How the idea became a successful model for the clubs

The interest of the clubs in the German Sailing League is growing and growing - just like the competition itself. In 2013, the German elite class motivated 18 clubs to take part in its inaugural year. Just one year later, the 1st and 2nd Bundesliga were operating side by side. The participation of 58 clubs in the spring qualifiers, in which another five first division places and the 18 second division places were allocated in the league structure, is fondly remembered by all involved for the euphoric atmosphere of optimism.
